  With the opening of its Miami branch, SV Freight is now capable to deliver cargo, mainly temperature-sensitive vaccines and serum, to all destinations in Latin America. “Our Miami branch is an effective gateway to Latin America. SV Freight is the only company now to perform 72-hour delivery to Latin American destinations”, said Rahul Raje, Partner, SV Freight, based in Mumbai Head Office.
  
  Speaking to ACAAI NEWS about other developments of infrastructure at SV Freight, Rahul said that besides general cargo ware-house, the company has set up a specialized cold storage facility in Sakinaka, close to Mumbai International Airport. “At this ultra-modern facility, we have two separate cold chambers, one for 2oC to 8oC, and the other for -15 to -30oC. The facility is mainly used for vaccines. Our fleet of special cold storage reefer vehicles is also growing to meet the demands of manufacturers and shippers. SV Freight is now operating from all manufacturing centers in India to all airports and our hub Mumbai. With all these in place, our performance is growing at a good growth rate of 20 per cent to 30 per cent per annum”, he added.

It is evident that it has to move by air, as the products are meant for specific human use.
  
  For this particular cargo, sea transport can not match the speed of air, taking into consideration several factors including transit times and quick connectivity to final destination among others. Delayed delivery of vaccines runs various risks of harming the life of products. Here cost is secondary factor. Time management and temperature control throughout the journey of the product from end to end occupy prime importance.
